The fish oil that started it all... Nordic Naturals offers the only 100% Arctic cod (Skrei) liver oil on the market. No fish body oils or synthetic vitamins or additives are ever used. No other brand can honestly make the same claim. Over the past decade, we have perfected our three-step Gold Standard system that allows Nordic Naturals Arctic Cod Liver Oil to test at 10 times lower than the limits set by the strict Norwegian Medicinal Standard and European Pharmacopoeia Standard for purity and freshness. Vertically integrated from catch to finished product, we deliver the freshest cod liver oil in the world.

Arctic cod (Skrei) has the highest DHA, vitamin A, and vitamin D content of any cod species. On average, Nordic Naturals CLO delivers over 125 mg more DHA per serving than other CLO products. Each teaspoon provides approximately 1035 mg of the essential omega-3 fatty acids, EPA and DHA, generously fulfilling the expert recommendation of a minimum of 500 mg per day. Our patented, flavored Arctic Cod Liver Oil liquids are perfect for customers who don?t like to swallow pills, and they?re so tasty it?s hard to believe they?re from fish.

Cod liver oil is widely taken to ease the pain and joint stiffness associated with arthritis and has also been clinically proven to have a positive effect on heart, bone as well as helping to nourish skin,[8] hair, and nails.

Cod liver oil and fish oil are similar, but cod liver oil has much higher levels of vitamins A and D. Many adults do not meet the RDA for Vitamin D.
Cod liver oil may be an effective complementary measure for long-term treatment of multiple sclerosis. Use of cod liver oil during pregnancy is associated with lower risk of Type I diabetes in the offspring. This effect was found only in mothers taking cod liver oil, not in mothers taking multivitamin supplements. Cod liver oil taken by nursing mothers improves the breast milk by increasing the amount of fatty acids, which promotes brain development, and the amount of vitamin A, which helps prevent infections, but the level of vitamin D is unchanged.
A Norwegian study of more than 68,000 women reported that female cancer patients who took daily cod-liver oil supplements had significantly reduced mortality (25% for all cancers, 45% for lung cancer) compared to women who did not take such supplements.

Reviewed by Louise Fortin Tremblay from Knoxville, TN.
This was prescribed to me by my naturopath doctor for overall health and omega-3's. At first I was apprehensive because of the taste, but what a pleasant surprise. It is little with a lemony taste. I love it! So needless to say that I don't have trouble taking it regularly. I will always take this.
