Cascara Sagrada

Cascara sagrada has a long history of traditional use by native americans. Cascara sagrada contains compounds called anthroquinones, which are responsible for cascara's powerful laxative effects. Anthraquinones trigger contractions in the colon, called peristalsis, which causes the urge to have a bowel movement. Today, it is one of the most common herbal laxatives.

Herb Pharm prepare our Cascara Sagrada Extract from the bark of Rhamnus purshiana trees, which is Custom Wildcrafted in its wild mountain habitat in the Pacific Northwest. The bark is never fumigated or irradiated.

To assure a mild, non-irritating action, the bark is sun-dried, and is then aged for one year before being extracted.

Active Ingredients:

• Dry herb / menstruum ratio: 1 : 5

Inactive Ingredients: Contains distilled water, certified organic grain alcohol (18 - 22%) & Cascara Sagrada extractives.

Recommended Dosage:
SHAKE WELL BEFORE USING One to three times per day take 30 to 40 drops in a little water.
