All HLC probiotics contain NO dairy, casein, wheat, gluten, soy, corn, nuts or other common allergens. And are manufactured in a nut free facility. Recommended Intake: one or two capsules to be taken twice daily with a meal. Probiotics are ideally taken with or after meals (due to weakest stomach acidity), but can be taken anytime it's most convenient for you. Can be taken at the same time as Alli-Cinn or other garlic products, but should be taken at a different time from your antibiotics (4 hours apart or more). Safe and highly recommended during pregnancy, lactation, and antibiotic use.

Tip for giving Mindlinx caps (or powder) to your baby: I found the easiest way to get the contents of the capsules into my baby's mouth is by using one of those tiny plastic spoons they use at the ice cream/gelato store (when you are doing a flavor tasting). Open the capsule and pour out a little powder onto the spoon and close the capsule back up. Smear the powder onto their tongue with the little spoon. You can then follow it with a little breast milk, or let them chew it around with saliva. They may not even notice it's in their mouth.

HLC MindLinx contains specifically selected strains of Lactobacillus crispatus (CLT221) and Lactobacillus rhamnosus (CLT341). These are strains that are proven to degrade wheat and dairy exorphins and to attach to, and colonize intestinal epithelial cells (Figures 1 & 2).

HLC MindLinx has been shown to degrade dietary exorphins in human subjects (Figures 3).

Subjects were provided with a meal of bread and milk and urinary exorphin measured over the next 10 hours. Subjects took MindLinx for 21 days before being offered the same meal of bread and milk. The difference in the 'before' and 'after' urinary exorphin profiles are clear.

HLC Probiotics Shipping & Heat Sensitivity Info (last updated 6/01/08)
We suggest that you select 2nd Day Air or Overnight during the summer months or if you live in a hot state (any month). If not, your probiotics or suppositories may arrive 5-7 days later and may be warm or hot to the touch. We cannot replace or refund warm/hot packages. During the summer (June-Sep), we automatically do not ship out probiotics or other heat sensitive orders placed after 1pm EST on Tuesday will ship the following Monday. We will only ship orders placed on Wednesday or Thursdays if 2nd day or Overnight shipping is requested AND the package can be delivered in the same week. We do not ship heat sensitive orders on Fridays at all, any time of the year. (unless you request otherwise in "Order Comments" and providing that you do not mind that your package will be held in the shippers non-airconditioned warehouse during the weekend). We want to minimize the amount of time your probiotics are in transit. Yet, the manufacturer has increased stability with new freeze drying technology allowing the probiotics to last over 6 months at room temperature holding their GUARANTEED minimum potency on label.
In addition,at 90-100 degrees Fahrenheit it can be stored 3-4 weeks and still be within label claim. This means if the probiotics arrive very warm or hot to the touch due to UPS truck being hot, your product is still perfectly viable and will meet potency claims on label according to various tests done by manufacturer. Please do not be concerned about heat for the short 2-4 day transit. We have been using these probiotics for years after extensive delays in shipping during summer months, and they are still VERY viable and work incredibly well.

Are HLC probiotics shipped with an ice pack? Dry ice or ice pack will be included within the box free of charge during the summer months or when shipping to hot states (gel pack may be hot upon arrival since it absorbs heat- this is normal). Yet, ice is ONLY FOR YOUR PEACE OF MIND. Pharmax's extensive product shelf life testing shows that after 2 weeks of travel via UPS cross country and back to the testing facility, the potency was still at 100% of label claims. The manufacturer states that ice during transport isoptional andnot necessary due to their new freeze drying technology and the addition of 50% more probiotic at time of manufacturing than what the label claims. Yet, if temperatures are hot in your area in the summer months, you may want to request an ice pack during checkout for your own peace of mind. If your suppositories or protein bars have melted in transit, please store them in the refrigerator upon opening the package so that the item will firm up. We cannot refund or replace warm/hot packages.
Pharmax has added in 50% more probiotic than what the label guarantees per bottle. For example, HLC Synbiotic Intensive is guaranteed to have 130 billion L. acidophilus and bifidus per serving, but there are 170 billion present at time of manufacturing and it is kept frozen until shipping.

How do I travel with and store my HLC probiotics? We highly recommend you take your probiotics with you on all trips and vacations since their potency will last for up to 6 months at room temperature un-refrigerated. But, when possible and if convenient, we recommend you store your probiotics in the freezer or refrigerator, especially if you plan to preserve freshness of your product for months or years.

My son has Autism and this probiotic is great for him. He is very sensitive to many ingredients that are in some other probiotics, but he is tolerating this one nicely.
Heat is an issue, especially in the summer. The fastest form of delivery is always best, but it is very expensive.

This is a fantastic product that noticable reduced my son''s bloated belly. I agree with the psoter who commented on variability in effectiveness, based on wheter or not the bottles were exposed to heat. The shipping information indicates that shipping on ice is a precaution, but I highly recommend protecting this product as best you can, because the bottles we had shipped without ice do not seem as effective and his bloated belly is back.

I was absolutely miserable for about a year because of being mistreated repeatedly for yeast infections and BV. I finally found a doctor who stays up on current research and he explained that I needed to get my vaginal pH back to normal in order to prevent any more infections, and this is naturally done by the "good bacteria" (lactobacillus) that normally produce hydrogen peroxide. All the prescription anti-fungals and antibiotics had totally wiped out my vaginal lactobacillus, so I needed a supplement. A strain that he recommended because it has been shown to produce hydrogen peroxide AND adhere to the epithelial cells that line the vagina is L. crispatus. (Other strains like L. reuteri and L. rhamnosus may produce H2O2 but do not adhere well. I''ve tried those, and they didn''t seem to work in the long run for me. They only helped in the short-term if I inserted the capsule vaginally.) So I did a quick search on the web and found that MindLinx is the only product that is sold in the US containing L. crispatus. I''ve been taking one capsule twice a day (orally) since then, and I haven''t had a recurrence in several months. It''s been great!

I''ve been following a gluten-casein free diet for years, but was still having some brain issues, so I tried Mindlinx. Amazingly, I went through a gluten withdrawal! So, I was either getting small doses in my diet, or there are still other proteins that cause problems that the Mindlinx enzymes digested.

We have used this product for several years for our son with Autism. Prior to using this supplement his stool was a tarlike substance with foul odor. Since starting this supplement his stool is formed and normal.

I took MindLinx for chronic fatique and my children took it to aid them with behavioral concerns. I experienced relief from this product however because of the need to keep this product away from heat sources and where we live I am afraid that some of the bottles we used werent as affective as others. That during shipping the product affectiveness diminished. We now take a probiotic that is mixed into a glass of water, tastes great and consistently relieves symptoms. With all the supplements taken on a daily basis I sometimes wonder if all the capsules ingested are healthy and if they all consistently dissolve to provide benefits.

After trying both the powder form, that has to be measured, and the capsules that are prefilled, we prefer the capsules. Our child is a difficult eater and it is quick and handy to open a capsule, empty it into a routine drink, shake, and serve. Effective and discreet.
