The formulation of the HLC probiotics has not changed, just the manufacturer?s guarantee has changed on the label of the HLC Probiotics. It has been recently communicated to us by Seroyal/Pharmax that ?Barley gluten, lactose and soy are used in the fermentation medium for growing the micro-organisms prior to manufacturing the final formulation. These nutrients are digested by the micro-organisms during fermentation and further removed during centrifugation (after fermentation).?
?We have tested the HLC probiotics as worst-case scenarios based on total daily consumption and target populations and no gluten, dairy or soy was detected in the final product. Although our analytical assay for soy, gluten & dairy did not detect any proteins, these methods cannot detect total absence.?

I've been using these packets of HLC Intensive as well as the HLC High Potency since May 2001 and they have largely improved my digestion and kept me free of Candida. I keep plenty stocked in my freezer and they are perfect for my conference travel too since traveling always seems to mess up my system. Wouldn't leave home without my probiotics! Within hours, I can count that my stomach is back to normal.
HLC Synbiotic Intensive is the highest potency HLC product containing a minimum of 130 billion CFU of L. acidophilus, B. bifidum, B. lactis, and L. salivarius in each packet. Each of the three different strains attach in different areas of the epithelial tissue in the intestinal tract (small and large intestines). This probiotic is a microbial replacement program for the gastrointestinal tract intended for 7 to 14 days depending on the severity of the problem.
HLC Synbiotic Intensive will crowd out yeast and other undesirable organisms which result from use of antibiotics, chemotherapy, oral contraceptives, and hormone replacement therapy. Also helpful for chronic parasitic and fungal infections as well as Candida overgrowth.
HLC Synbiotic Intensive has a sweet peach flavor due its high concentrations of fructo-oligo-saccharides (FOS) which ensure rapid establishment of the Lactobacilli in the upper small intestine and Bifido bacteria in the lower small intestine. FOS is a naturally-occurring water-soluble fiber from fruit and vegetables which feeds the friendly intestinal bacteria. The manufacturer has increased stability allowing the probiotics to last over 3 months at room temperature holding their GUARANTEED minimum potency on label!
You will receive your HLC probiotic directly from the manufacturer in about 3-5 days. This product is very fresh and has not been sitting around on our shelves. And, you are guaranteed it will contain 50% more than what the label states.
How do I travel with and store my HLC probiotics? We highly recommend you take your probiotics with you on all trips and vacations since their potency will last for up to 3 months at room temperature un-refrigerated. But, when possible and if convenient, we recommend you store your probiotics in the freezer or refrigerator, especially if you plan to preserve freshness of your product for months or years.

I felt this one was overkill on the FOS (apricot powder). Made candida worse and had to follow up with Diflucan. HLC intensive caps are highly reccomended as an alternative to this product.

My son had recurring strep for over two years before I started him on this. He takes about 1/2 teaspoon each morning and has been strep free ever since. He has missed only one day at school this year. Coincidence? I don't think so. ;)

I HAVE USED PROBIOTICS AS NEEDED FOR 18 YEARS. THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST. I DON'T USUALLY LIKE ANYTHING MIXED WITH WATER, BUT THIS I CAN DRINK. WORKS GREAT. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.

I always have a container of this product in my freezer, and have used it many times whenever my digestive tract is under stress. Once, when dealing with a yeast infection, once when recovering from a c. dificile infection, once when dealing with a stomach flu. It is pleasant tasting and very effective. I also take it whenever I have to take an antibiotic of any kind.

I have a cat with IBD, and we''re doing everything we can to reduce the inflammation in his lower intestine. He''s had diarrhea since he was a kitten, over a year now. It appears to be some kind of environmental stress and/or allergic reaction, but we don''t know what''s causing it nor what makes it better, in all certainty. This product does appear to be helping; at least, it doesn''t seem to be hurting and that''s what I stay thankful for. Finn stays on a diet of poached turkey breast, Hill''s Science Diet z/d and Iams Hairball Remedy kibble. Finn takes this along with Tegricel colostrum which he loves, and the Permeability Complex. I''ve been treating him since he was 12 weeks old, over a year now. We just keep hoping he''ll finally get better...sometimes the diarrhea is so bad he passes fresh, dark blood; and it''s clear that it hurts him to go. My heart breaks. I just keep trying, slowly, different things, while keeping his diet steady and stable. He''s a beautiful, amazing cat and he stays cheerful and loving throughout it all.

This product was the only product to entirely relieve years of chronic yeast buildup throughout my whole body- within weeks. Chronic Fatigue symptoms and Epstein Bar Virus were eliminated entirely within a month of taking HLC sachets daily. Also HLC Intensive kept me free of any UTI and yeast build up during my entire pregnancy and during and after breast feeding. Since taking this product, most food allergies have gone away as well. I can consume dairy, wheat and yeast products without any problems. I now just take this a few times a month just to maintain good intestinal flora and a balanced system. HLC has been the only product to address and cure most stomach, yeast, bacterial, viral issues for me. I do think everyone that has taken any antibiotics should take this product for at least one or two weeks.
My infant takes the HLC for infants off and on and has never had rashes nor infections nor allergies to foods yet. This IS by far the best and most effective probiotic I"ve taken.

Very good probiotic. I found it to be effective, but just as a warning...if you have a very strong bacterial infection, then FOS may irritate it. In that case, I recommend the HCL Intensive caps.

Absolutely LOVE this product. After going through a detox perscribed by my doctor it was manditory that I take the HCL Synbiotic Intensive packets per his instructions. I have taken probiotics in the past but nothing comparedsto the HLC product. The results were amazing. Excellent product...... :)
