It contains a combination of organic acid salts that in solution provide a pH of approximately 7.5-8.5 and which act as alkalizers on the urine. This neutralization of acid urine significantly reduces the stinging and burning reaction normally associated with this condition.
Cranberry extract has been proven to contain sugars and alcohol sugars which prevent the attachment of E. coli and Enterococci to urethral epithelial cells. It is these bacteria particularly which are associated with this condition.
High concentrations of HLC Lactobacillus acidophilus are included to prevent vaginal and urethral colonization by E. coli and Enterococci typically transferred via the rectal/vaginal route.

Recommended Intake:

May contain up to 12 billion viable cells per sachet if kept refrigerated. Once removed from refrigerator, product will maintain label potency for 6 months at room temperature.
