Inflammation is suspected to be the root cause of the majority of health conditions we face in the United States. Such conditions include arthritis, autoimmune disease, fibromyalgia, diabetes, cancer, heart disease, colitis, Chron's disease, pain related conditions, and many more. Reducing Inflammation Naturally
Natural acute inflammation is essential for survival and is quickly resolved by a well nourished body. It results from damage to cells and tissue which your body flags for repair by creating inflammatory proteins. Inflammatory proteins signal your body that work is needed; blood flow to the affected area increases. In response, a healthy system sends reparative enzymes and nutrients, provides anti-inflammatory hormones, and finally clears the original inflammatory protein messengers from the blood so that homeostasis may return. This is a all part of our body's healthy process for healing tissue and cell damage.
Chronic unhealthy inflammation occurs when the body cannot efficiently repair damaged tissue and inflammation lingers. One example is when total tissue and cell damage in your body is greater than the system can handle. You may ask why would there be more damage to the body than it can handle? Damage results from both physical trauma and excessive free radical damage unchecked by antioxidants. Therefore when a person's lifestyle is such that more toxic free radicals are entering without sufficient antioxidants to neutralize them, tissue and cell damage occurs. Unmanned free radicals are responsible for serious diseases such as heart disease and cancer. Inflammation perpetuates when the body is deficient in vital enzymes, proteins, and fatty acids needed to completely repair the damage initiated.
One major cause of inflammatory conditions is toxic dietary patterns and poor intestinal health. Gluten and Casein are two highly inflammatory proteins which inflame the intestines and are responsible for leaky gut syndrome. Leaky gut syndrome occurs when proteins pass from the intestines into the bloodstream. The body recognizes these proteins as a threat and alarms you through pain and inflammation that something is wrong.
In all, the severity and prevalence of inflammatory conditions we face is a result of toxic diet, environment and stress coupled with a lack of sufficient enzymes and nutrients. Supplementation and healthy eating habits and lifestyle changes can reverse chronic inflammation and all the uncomfortable symptoms that come with it. Please see our supplement and dietary recommendations below to get started.
Anti-inflammatory Protocol:
Supplements:
- Vitalzym X—this is a systemic enzyme which works in the blood by removing inflammatory proteins. It works extremely well for the majority of our clients. Please read more on the product page to find your "activation dose."
- Finest Pure Fish Oils—these are pure and potent omega-3 fatty acids, which are the fundamental building blocks of our bodies' anti-inflammatory hormone. I suggest dosing relatively high at 1 TBS daily (9 capsules.
- Inflammatone—this is an excellent enzyme and herbal blend to support reduction of inflammation.
- Reduce inflammation stemming from food by strengthening the intestines with healthy bacteria and soothing nutrients
- HLC Mindlinx—these are good bacteria, important for nutrient absorption and prevention of leaky gut syndrome. HLC Mindlinx has specific bacteria to degrade gluten and casein, both inflammatory proteins.
- GI Revive—helpful for soothing the gut lining, again preventing the "leaking" of proteins into the blood, a common condition involved in systemic inflammation.
