Lactase converts lactose to galactose and glucose and is an enzyme produced at the brush border of the epithelial surface by epithelial cells. Lactase production in many people declines rapidly after weaning, giving rise to various degrees of intolerance.
Liquid Lactase is a potent enzyme preparation, which converts lactose to glucose and galactose and so can be used to alleviate or decrease the level of lactose intolerance. Liquid Lactase can either be taken directly or added to dairy products prior to consumption.
Five drops of Pharmax Liquid Lactase will digest the lactose portion of 1/4 pint of milk in approximately 3 hours.

Lactase enzyme.......205 µl
(providing 615 LAU lactase units)
Other Ingredients: Purified water, glycerol.
Recommended Intake:
Add 5 drops of Liquid Lactase to one pint (568ml) of milk and refrigerate for 24 hours. Use as ordinary milk. Alternatively, can be taken directly in water or juice prior to consumption of dairy products or as professionally directed.
