Liquid Vitamin D-3, provided by Douglas Laboratories®, is a unique, neutral tasting, sugar free liquid supplying 500 IU of of natural Vitamin D3 per drop. This product is ideal when higher doses are required.

Vitamin D is an essential vitamin that plays many important roles in the proper functioning of the body. Though classified as a vitamin, Vitamin D is actually a key regulatory hormone for calcium and bone metabolism. Adequate vitamin D status is essential for ensuring normal calcium absorption and maintenance of healthy calcium plasma levels. Numerous scientists now feel that supplementation with vitamin D at levels greater than previously thought necessary is critical to helping maintain healthy bone remodeling as we age.

INDICATIONS Vitamin D 10,000 IU may be a useful dietary supplement for those individuals wishing to support bone health or whose requirements for vitamin D cannot be met by lower potency products.

SUGGESTED USAGE:
Adults: 1 dropper (1 ml= 20 drops) daily = 10,000 IU, or dose as directed by your healthcare professional.

WARNINGS:
Possibly unsafe when used orally in excessive doses, long-term. Taking doses greater than the tolerable upper intake level (UL) of 50 mcg (2,000 IU) per day for long periods can increase the risk of hypercalcemia; however, much higher doses are often needed for short-term treatment of vitamin D deficiency
