This product uses fully vegetarian DHA, micellised to enhance absorption and stabilized with vitamin E. This special omega-3 fatty acid has been shown to keep blood triglycerides in check, to help maintain the integrity of the platelets and, through conversion to 3-series prostaglandins, to have anti-inflammatory activity. Although there is limited conversion to DHA of alpha linolenic acid (ALA) found in vegetable sources such as flaxseed oil, most scientific evidence points to direct dietary supplementation of DHA as being most effective.
