Suggested Use: For fast relief it is important to take Oto-Plex regularly and correctly. Use Oto-Plex until ears, nose, and throat infections (upper respiratory system) have cleared. It is best to give Oto-Plex undiluted.The first two days of treatment, take every hour but not more than 12 times daily. On the third day take three times daily the following:

Infants up to one year: 2-4 drops
Children up to 6 years: 4-7 drops
Children from 6 to 12 years: 5-10 drops
Adults: 12-15 drops
In chronic cases, 1-3 times daily

Dose Oto-Plex in a small glass with one tablespoon of water, juice, or herb tea.

Contains less alcohol than found in apple juice

Helpful Suggestions:

• Drink plenty of fluids to stimulate the elimination organs. One may fast with teas or juices. Don't force children to eat.
• When fever is present, reduce layers of clothing.
• A warm onion poultice applied to the ears relieves pain symptoms: Peel 1 onion, chop into small pieces, steam in a pan in order to release the essential oils; pack into a cloth while still warm and apply to the ear. Hold the cloth in place with a scarf or a headband.

Lowered Recurrence and Complete Remission of Middle Ear Infections:
Observations from ENT clinics with over 2,000 acute and chronic Otitis Media cases show Oto-Plex significantly lowered the rate of recurrence and often provided complete recovery. Oto-Plex has been prescribed by European Pediatricians and ENT practitioners for 35 years. No adverse side effects have been reported.

Middle Ear Infections: 24 hour Recovery
Middle ear infection is no reason for worry. Studies show 60% of all middle ear infections become pain-free within 24 hours without antibiotic treatment.4 A publication in the British Medical Journal verifies: 60% of all children treated without antibiotics were pain free within 24 hours.¹ Early use of antibiotics provides only minimal benefit for acute Otitis Media, since the worst pain symptoms are over before antibiotics can take effect.

In Holland, only 31% of Otitis Media cases are treated with antibiotics.1 Medical experts recommend avoiding antibiotics to treat uncomplicated forms of Otitis Media.² Antibiotics were associated with a near doubling of the vomiting, diarrhea, or rashes.

Otitis media recurs less frequently with alternative treatment plans compared to antibiotic use.³ Duration of homeopathic treatment is significantly shorter than conventional therapies. 30% of children treated homeopathically reported less pain symptoms within the first hours of treatment compared to only 11% of children treated conventionally.³ Children treated through alternative treatment plans recover quickly.²

A Natural Treatment with No Side Effects
Parents increasingly place greater value on finding gentle and safer treatments for their children. Antibiotics cause side effects such as vomiting, diarrhea and skin rash twice as often as placebo use.⁶ Diarrhea occurs in approximately 20% of patients. Antibiotics can greatly disturb intestinal microflora, allowing pathogenic microorganisms to multiply.⁷ Disturbances in the normal intestinal flora often lead to the occurrence of secondary infections such as harmful fungal infestation of the mucosa.⁸

Analgesic and Anti-inflammatory Effect
The active components found in Echinacea inhibit the spread of bacterial infections. Echinacea mother tinctures prepared according to HAB 1 stimulate the non-specific cellular immune system both in vivo and in vitro. The flavonoids found in Elder leaves and flowers have a secretolytic effect on the mucosa of the respiratory passages. Certain alkaloids found in Canadian Bloodwort act to sedate the central nervous system and nerve endings. The essential oils from Chamomile have an anti-inflammatory effect.

Swelling and Inflammation
Capsicum annum (Red pepper) is indicated for conditions such as Otitis Media, mastoiditis, and mucosal inflammations in the oral and pharyngeal cavities. It has been found helpful to inhibit middle ear and oral cavity swelling and inflammation.
