PaleoMeal DF Berry or Vanilla
Product reformulated and is now with 100% pea protein (Peatein) as of 6/20/2011
PaleoMeal®-DF (Dairy-Free) is a plant-derived protein powder alternative to our popular whey-based PaleoMeal®. It is free of casein, lactose, and gluten and offers the same comprehensive nutrient blend as the original PaleoMeal®. When used with a balanced whole foods diet, PaleoMeal®-DF is designed to help promote an optimal intake of protein, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals needed for overall wellness.
PaleoMeal®-DF: Featuring plant-derived protein Peatein PaleoMeal® -DF is made with Peatein, a natural food-grade pea protein concentrate offering a high level of functionality and nutritional benefits. Using a patented protein technology, the production process does not use any chemicals. The raw materials, North American grown yellow peas, are not genetically modified (non-GMO).
Peatein has an excellent array of amino acids, including high levels of BCAAs (branched chain amino acids). While its amino acid profile is similar to whey protein, it is particularly high in arginine, leucine, lysine and tyrosine. Peatein is a true vegan protein which has excellent digestibility (98%) and is hypoallergenic.
As pea protein has ACE inhibitory activity, it may have a positive effect on the maintenance of normal blood pressure levels.[1] It has also been shown, in rat studies, to have a positive impact on total cholesterol and very low density lipoproteins (VLDL) by stimulating bile acid formation and excretion.
Additional Highlights of PaleoMeal®-DF
NatureFolate? natural vitamin folates that are found in foods such as spinach and are immediately active and bioavailable to the human body.
Creatine MagnaPower® for energy reserves ?stabilized creatine plays an important role in the maintenance and regeneration of ATP, and helps to increase muscle mass, strength and endurance.Vegetarians appear to have lower tissue creatine concentrations, since creatine is mostly found in animal foods such as herring, pork, beef, salmon and tuna.
Berry or Vanilla PaleoMeal®-DF contains no sucrose, fructose, or artificial sweeteners, and is naturally sweetened with the laxation-free polyol xylitol and the herb stevia.
Who could benefit from PaleoMeal®-DF? PaleoMeal®-DF is suggested in combination therapies for:

It's been hard for me to find a decent protein supplement due to my long list of allergies, but I haven't had any trouble with PaleoMeal. It's filling but not too heavy, gives me great energy, and has such a wonderful berry taste. It's great over fruit, mixed into oatmeal or cream-of-rice, or as a shake. I love this product!

This is by far the best tasting protein powder I have ever used. Usually rice protein is very gritty tasting. This is smooth, I can use water, juice or anything. My test is water. If it's a great powder it tastes great in water. it does.

I enjoy the berry flavor and all of the nutrition that is packed into this shake. I make it daily. I usually add fresh and frozen fruit. But when I am low on my fruit supply at home, the shake still tastes very good.
I love the fact that this sweet shake has no impact on my blood sugar levels. All natural sweetners are included instead.
