R-lipoic acid (RLA) is the only naturally occurring molecular form of alpha-lipoic acid (thioctic acid). Similarly, R-dihydrolipoic acid (R-DHLA) is the only naturally occurring reduced form of this nutrient. RLA and R-DHLA function together as a co-regulating antioxidant couple that not only quenches free radicals but also supports essential energy-generating enzymes.* Evidence suggests that this redox couple is more powerful together than either compound alone.* Biotin is a vitamin that works in concert with the lipoics redox couple.

Redox Lipoics offers a better absorbed and more biologically effective form of lipoic acid than the more commonly available mixtures of R + S forms.
