Stellar C

This completely natural plant-based vitamin C formula is loaded with plant bioflavonoids known for capillary and immune system support. Stellar C contains Amla along with two other Ayurvedic fruits that are naturally rich in Vitamin C, bioflavonoids and polyphenols. These fruit compounds are known to possess anti-bacterial, anti-parasitic, antioxidant, and anti-mutagenic abilities.

• Acerola (Malpighia glabra L.)(fruit)[standardized to contain 25% vitamin c] 200 mg

The DFH medical adviser said the vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid) in this product does come from corn, but it has been filtered so much that the corn proteins have been removed, so the allergic potential of this is extremely low.

The Ayurvedic rejuvenative formula Triphala consists of the three fruits, Haritaki (Terminalia chebula), Amla (Emblica officinalis), and Bahira (Terminalia belerica). Immune System
Vitamin C helps the body deal with environmental pollution and toxic chemicals. It also boosts the immune system. It helps the body fight off colds and flu, as well as many other viral infections. [2]

Cholesterol
Clinical studies show that vitamin C levels correspond to total cholesterol and HDL cholesterol levels. [3] One study indicated that the higher the content of vitamin C in the blood, the lower the total cholesterol and triglycerides and the higher the HDL cholesterol. [4]

Blood Pressure
Clinical studies show that vitamin C levels inversely correlate with blood pressure. Several preliminary studies show a modest blood-pressure-lowering effect of vitamin C in people with mild elevations of blood pressure. [3]

Diabetes
Since insulin facilitates the transporting of vitamin C into the cells, most diabetics suffer from a deficiency of vitamin C. [5] Someone with diabetes needs more vitamin C than an “adequate” dietary amount. High doses of vitamin C are essential in the treatment of diabetes.
