Thyroid Concerns
Located in about midway down the front of the neck, the thyroid gland is one of the endocrine glands. It produces thyroid hormones, which control the rate at which many important functions occur in the body. Problems can occur when either too much (hyperthyroidism), or too little (hypothyroidism) thyroid hormone is produced.
