Provides vitamin A in a concentrated, water-soluble form which can be added to water, fruit juice or taken directly into the mouth. Major physiological functions of vitamin A are:

• Important in optimizing vision by facilitating conversion of photon energy into electrochemical signal
• Maintains integrity and orchestrates differentiation of epithelial cells
• Deficiency of vitamin A leads to keratinization and squamization of epithelial cells, resulting in loss of function
• Vitamin A can induce apoptosis
• Vitamin A is involved in cortex differentiation and functionality of b-cells and T-cells, and also phagocytes, of the immune system
• Vitamin A deficiency is clearly linked to decreased resistance to infection
