Vitamin A is necessary for the normal healthy growth of epithelial tissue. Epithelial cells make up the vaginal mucosa and enhance the immune response in epithelial tissues and thereby help in the resistance to infection of mucous membranes. Vitamin A can be used intravaginally to stimulate the local immune tissue of the vaginal mucosa.

Ingredients: Each suppository contains:
20 drops of Vitamin A palmitate (500,000 I.U.), in a base of cocoa butter.

 

Suggested use: Insert a suppository 3-4 inches into the vagina once daily ideally at bedtime until symptoms subside. Use panty liner since leakage will occur when suppository melts.

For BV and/or symptoms of swelling, irritation, redness, and burning:
Use one vitamin A suppository and one Vitamin E suppository together at bedtime for 7 days. Follow with either Boric Acid or HLC CandaClear suppository for the next 7 days.

Avoid use of this product during pregnancy. Do not ingest.

 

May melt above 70 degrees F.
