Boric Acid Plus (Yeast Arrest)

Boric Acid Plus (Yeast Arrest) has successfully been used to treat difficult cases of vaginal yeast infections (Candida) and Bacterial Vaginosis (BV). Boric acid is a safe substance with mild antiseptic properties. In one study of 100 women with chronic yeast vaginitis that had failed to respond to treatment with over-the-counter or prescription antifungal medicines, 98% of the women successfully treated their infections with boric acid capsules inserted into the vagina twice per day for two to four weeks. For the relief of external and internal irritation, burning, itching and discharge associated with a vaginal yeast infection. If this is the first time you have had a vaginal itch and discomfort, consult a doctor. If you have had a doctor diagnose a vaginal yeast infection before and have the same symptoms now, use these suppositories as directed.
Suggested Use: Acute Yeast Vaginitis (Candida) Mild cases: Insert 1 suppository once per day for 3 to 7 days. Resistant cases: Insert 1 suppository twice per day for 10 to 14 days. Use a panti-liner or pad as suppository capsule will melt and leak over 12-24 hours. We recommend you take an oral probiotic during treatment and/or follow with a few days of Candaclear probiotic suppositories to replenish the good bacteria. Note: Although Yeast Arrest does kill off some of the good bacteria, it does so more sparingly than antibiotics.
Chronic Yeast Vaginitis (Candida) Insert 1 suppository twice per day for 2 weeks. If a response occurs but not a complete resolution, repeat for an additional two weeks (1 capsule 2 times per day). Then, 1 capsule per day for four days each month, during menstruation (or the last days of menses), for four months. Use a panti-liner or pad as suppository capsule will melt and leak over 12-24 hours. We recommend you take an oral probiotic during treatment and/or follow with a few days of Candaclear probiotic suppositories to replenish the good bacteria. Prevention of recurrence Insert 1 suppository once per day at bedtime during menstruation for four months. Depending on severity of symptoms, you may use as little as 1 suppository per month during the last day of your period, or one per day for 5 days during your period (or when symptoms tend to flare up).
Normal side effects: While using Yeast Arrest suppositories, some women experience a large amount and/or different kind of discharge within the first few days. This is normal and can be attributed to the yeast and bad bacteria dying off and being released out of your body. Within days, symptoms will subside. Be sure to be taking your oral HLC Probiotics alongside with vaginal treatment to ensure the body can re-colonize the good bacteria.
Warnings:
Sexual Intercourse is best to be avoided when using this product to prevent further irritation or infection.
Using latex condoms while using this product is not recommended, as no research exists to prove the use of this product will not degrade the condom.
Do not use this product if you are experiencing abdominal or pelvic pain, fever or greenish foul discharge; you may have a condition which is more serious than a vaginal yeast infection. Please contact your practitioner immediately.

Avoid if allergic to tea tree oil (Melaleuca alternifolia) or eucalyptol
Do not take by mouth.

Do not use if internal tamper-resistant packaging has been altered.

Refrigeration is not needed with Yeast Arrest as long as it is kept cool and not in a warm environment, and in fact Vitanica is in the process of changing the boxes so that it will say this "Refrigeration is not needed" instead of "Do not refrigerate". I do recommend refrigerating it if you are not going to be using it all up so that the fat-based ingredients stay fresher longer. This will not mess up the action of the active ingredients. Currently, Vitanica is including an orange piece of paper inside the box that says "Please place the individual suppository, in its foil wrapper, in the refrigerator a few minutes before use". This is because it is easier to insert, and it is more soothing when it cold.

I've had yeast-like symptoms for several years now. While on yeast arrest I'm pain free, though my symptoms did recur after the first round of taking it. I've found yeast arrest to be very soothing, and I appreciate its varied nutrients as opposed to using just boric acid or tea tree oil. I'm on my third round of using the product and I'm hoping that with time the good results will continue.

Yes, this product has a strong herbal smell but to me this is a very small price to pay for relieving the horrible symptoms that come along with systemic candida. I am also a person who would rather use a natural product rather than take a drug(s). I have taken prescription creams and pills with no success and using this product gave me instant relief from the itching and burning and pain. Within a few days of using the product the candida seemed to be clearing up.

I had to use almost the entire box to see minimal results. Not too impressed. Horrible smell too! [Please read the response our nutritionist send to the reveiwer - "I read your review for the Yeast Arrest Boric Acid Suppositories. If you did not see results after using them for a couple weeks, you might have a difficult case to treat. The smell is from Tea Tree Oil, which is added to help as an antimicrobial and antifungal agent, it does have an astringent smell, but it is a helpful ingredient.]

I have gone through one box of Yeast Arrest and it seems to be helping, but I have had recurring Bacterial Vaginosis for ten years, so I didn't expect for one box to clear up the infection. I have noticed an improvement in my energy level as I have been battling chronic fatigue and IBS (which I know believe is all caused by an overgrowth of bacteria and Candida). Hopefully the Yeast Arrest in combination with diet and the thousands of dollars that have been spent on products wins out in the end-this is a nightmare!

AFTER TWO YEARS OF BATTLING YEAST AND BV INFECTIONS, I AM FINALLY CLEARED!!! THE ANTI FUNGAL CREAMS GAVE ME A BV INFECTION, AND THE ANTIBIOTICS FOR THE BV INFECTION GAVE ME A YEAST INFECTION. I have had problems with reoccurring yeast infections for several years now. Diflucan doesn't work for me and the over the counter products are terrible; they burn really bad and don't seem to really get rid of the yeast. After about a week of Yeast Arrest followed by Canda Clear, the yeast infection was GONE and has been for several months now! Only negative was that the Yeast Arrest does have a very strong tea tree oil/herbal smell; I could actually smell it throughout the day.

I have been using this product for about 1 1/2 years and it is great. It is a natural way to treat BV and yeast infections. I started getting reoccurent BV 2 years ago after I switched birth control pills and was taking antibiotics each month, which then caused a yeast infection it was a horrible cycle. I found this site and the yeast arrest completely cleared up the BV. I also use the Candaclear after the yeast arrest treatment because it puts the healthy bacteria back which is necessary to prevent another infection. I am so thankful to have found a natural product that really works for me.

This is my first time trying this product which I read about in the First magazine. So far it has worked. I have been a chronic BV sufferer with bouts of yeast and have not had either in the last 3 months. I use about 2-3 times a week or every other week at bedtime. The product smell is not great, but it washes away.
