Mixed Carotenoids Beta-Carotene Capsules provides an excellent amount of mixed carotenoids, naturally-derived from dunaliella salina algae, for maximum absorption and utilization, and to specifically assist in the maintenance of a healthy immune system. Mixed carotenoids include beta-carotene, alpha-carotene, cryptoxanthin, zeaxanthin and lutein. Carotenoids possess specific antioxidant activities that boost the immune system and help to reduce the risk of cancer.

Beta-carotene is converted into vitamin A in the liver and is one of the most active single oxygen free radical deterrents and scavengers.
