Should I still use acidpophilus when I start Florastar for agressive yeast?
Q: I have an overly-aggressive yeast overgrowth. Should I discontinue taking acidophilus when I start taking Florastor?

A.
To combat yeast overgrowth, we recommend you follow our Candida Protocol which includes vaginal acidophilus suppositories as well as aggressive supplementation with both Florastor by Biocodex and HLC Synbiotic Intensive by Pharmax or HLC Intensive by Pharmax, which are excellent quality Acidophilus/Bifido products.

Also, we highly suggest you include natural yeast killing agents in your program such as the Alli-cinn by Pharmax, which should be taken after each meal, along with the probiotic (garlic does not kill acidophilus), and CandaClear by Pharmax, which should be taken away 4 hours apart from the probiotics. While the Alli-cinn should be incorporated into your diet for the long term (1 year +), the CandaClear is a more aggressive product to be used for the short term until symptoms are under control (1-3 months).
