A: Helpful products & rec's for improving diverticulitis include:
- Inflammatone: 2 caps three times a day on an empty stomach or between meals. Get the largest bottle so you have a good supply.
- GI Revive - 1 tsp twice daily. This is helpful for healing the intestinal wall, and important step in improving this condition.
- HLC Intensive - take one cap 2-3 times daily with meals for probiotic support for the intestines. After you take this for at least a month, and the infection is completely resolved, then follow up with HLC Synbiotic Intensive Packets for 7 days. Then you might be fine with HLC High Potency caps 1-2 times a day for maintenance (we'll see)
- Tegricel - take one cap daily, it enhances general immune function and to help reduce the annoying and sometimes debilitating effects of many intestinal diseases. This will also make you less resistant to colds and flus.
- PaleoGreens (lemon-lime is my favorite) - One serving has equivalent antioxidant capacity to 4 servings of vegetables, based on ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorption Capacity), a USDA-developed method for measuring antioxidant activity.

- Avoid black pepper
- Use Xylitol or stevia (TruVia or PureVia) instead of sugar.
- Avoid products that contain carageenan, since this can irritate the GI tract
- Carry PaleoMeal Packets or PaleoBars (nut-free) with you throughout the day so you prevent missing meals or snacks.
- Exercise is important, even doing short bursts of high intensity exercise helps release growth hormone, which is helpful for intestinal healing.
- Practice good sleep habits, do something relaxing before bed so it is easier to fall asleep. Getting 8-9 hrs is important for healing to take place.
- Control stress and extra obligations that create stress
