Q. Are the plant sterols in Super EFA Plus by Genestra safe for someone with hormone-sensitive breast cancer? I really would like to take the plant sterols for its cholesterol lowering benefits.
A. Current research does not indicate that plant sterols negatively impact estrogen or other sex hormone levels. Here are links to a couple of articles/position of the Heart Foundation which claim no negative effects of sterols on hormone levels:

Super EFA liquid Plus. Or, if you'd like one which is richer in omega-3s without plant sterols, try Super EFA Liquid.
