Best Product for Excess Cortisol Production

Q.
Can you recommend a product that helps reduce excess cortisol production?

A.
If you have excess cortisol production, I have two recommendations.

AdrenoHS-SOD by BioGenesis. Please be aware this product has 20mg of lithium in it. Lithium is often prescribed by physicians for depressive disorders, headaches, and hyperthyroidism in higher amounts. But this is a low amount, it is not the same level as used in medications, however, there can be some interactions with some medications. If you are on any medications, please let me reference the medications you are on to make sure there would be no negative interactions you should be aware of when taking this product.

Catecholecalm by DFH. This helps balance cortisol and balance catechholemines, and is lithium free.

What natural supplements should I take for Fibromyalgia?
Q. I’m not sure what supplements to buy. I've had fibromyalgia for 20 years
plus.

A. *Fibromyalgia:* Research and clinical experience points strongly to the fact that yeast overgrowth and dysbiosis has contributes and may even cause CFS and Fibromyalgia. If you have any of those problems I'd be glad to provide some guidance on products to control and improve those conditions. But for now these products can be very helpful.

- MuscleAid by Biogenesis - This supplement provide the essential mineral, magnesium & malic acid in forms that are helpful for myalgia pain. The Journal of Nutritional Medicine published a study on the combined effects of magnesium and malic acid on FM individuals. Oral magnesium and malic acid preparations in an open clinical setting were used. Fifteen individuals of the (ages 32 to 60) received 1,200 to 2,400 mg of malic acid with 300 to 600 mg of magnesium for a period of 4 to 8 weeks. The results of the study were very encouraging; all individuals had a subjective improvement of myalgia occur within 48 hours of supplementation. To achieve the minimum dose used in this study I would recommend 1 tsp of the MuscleAid in the evening.

- MagneDerm Gel by Designs for Health- is a new cream containing a very absorbable magnesium from the sea. I've attached an information sheet for you to review this great new product!

Additionally, we do have a section on Fibromyalgia if you care to review it. These recommendations are not everything you could be doing, you said you don't want to take a lot of pills, so I've suggested creams and powders where I can. The essential fatty acid supplement I recommended is in a softgel, however, if you'd rather take a liquid, let me know and I'll send a different rec for you.

Focus your on more fish, organic animal protein- eggs, poultry, beef, etc, lots of healthy hormone building fats such as organic olive oil, coconut oil, avocado, nuts, etc. and high fruit and veggie intake. It can be helpful to cut out dairy, gluten and sugars as much as possible.

I'll look forward to hearing back from you if you have further questions or need some nutritional guidance. We are licensed nutritionists here to help our clients, and also like to keep track of your progress.
