CuraPro 60 gels

CuraPro® is a powerful antioxidant that provides support for a healthy inflammation response and
cellular signaling pathways.* This single ingredient supplement features BCM-95® curcumin, making it
the ideal choice for protocols based on curcumin research.

BCM-95® curcumin:

Curcumin is a compound from turmeric, a spice used traditionally as a food ingredient and as a botanical
in Ayurvedic medicine.

Benefits associated with curcumin include:

  • Immune system modulation
  • Protection from oxidative stress, and support for the body’s natural inflammatory response.

However, although curcumin has shown great promise for many benefits, it is not easily absorbed.

Clinical trials have used increasingly larger dosages (up to 10-12 grams daily) in order to get even a small
amount into the bloodstream. Efforts to make curcumin more bioavailable have included combinations
with lecithin, a lipid generally sourced from soy, and/or piperine, a compound from black pepper.

Adding lecithin is one option that can increase absorption, and published rat studies have indicated that
this may boost absorption five-fold over plain curcumin. There have not yet been human absorption
studies published on this delivery method. Piperine presents potential issues with drug interactions
because of its influence on the metabolism of drugs in the liver. It is contraindicated for concomitant use
with most prescription medications, including anti-seizure, cardiac, blood pressure and cancer drugs.

A patent-protected method using micronized curcumin, turmeric essential oil, and phospholipids ensures that CuraPro delivers a curcumin that is up to 10 times better absorbed than standard curcumin, as well as having an 8-12 hour retention time in the body. It has up to 6.3 times more absorption than curcumin complexed with lecithin and piperine. This high-potency formula provides superior support for a healthy inflammation response, a healthy immune and cardiovascular system, and resistance to free radical activity.

  • Enhanced oral bioavailability of curcumin in the blood up to 7 to 10 times that of curcumin 95%, based on published human trials
  • A patented 100% natural turmeric extract (3 U.S. Patents awarded)
  • Proprietary blend of curcuminoids and essential oil of turmeric
  • Full spectrum of natural curcuminoids
  • Extended retention of curcumin in the blood up to 8 to 12 hours
  • Proven to support joint, immune, and brain function 1-16
  • High ORAC value >13,000 per gram

Questions about dosing: Should CuraPro & CuraPhen be taken after a meal? Or is there a better time to take these & can they be used together for additional support?

Answer from EuroMedica: We recommend that most supplements be taken with meals or food as most people have better absorption this way and it eliminates any risk of upset stomach for those who have sensitivities.

However, I have heard of people taking these at all times and with and without food with excellent results. Yes Curaphen and CuraPro can be used together for additional support.

CuraPro is a very high dose of just one ingredient, our clinically proven BCM-95 curcumin. Curaphen is our professional pain formula. It contains a much smaller dose of BCM-95 curcumin and 3 other products that work together to address pain issues.

BCM-95 has been proven to have a blood retention time of 8-12 hours. With that said, I would dose a morning and an evening dose of Curaphen for those who are really struggling with pain control. Or Morning, noon, and night.

This chart shows the difference in absorption between the BCM-95® and curcumin complexed with piperine or lecithin.

Inflammation: Supporting healthy inflammation response in the
body may be the key to good health overall. For
occasional pain from exercise or overuse, or to
support neurological health, curcumin acts as a
potent antioxidant and supports a healthy
    response to inflammation.*
Cellular Development: Scientific studies have shown that curcumin acts as
a strong antioxidant for cellular defense, and
supports healthy DNA in the brain, heart, liver,
    lungs, kidneys, and immune system.*
In one study, 25 participants used curcumin
extracts from 500 mg up to 8000 mg. While
appropriate concentrations in the blood were
achieved in two of the patients with the highest
intakes (8000 mg), this illustrates the need for
    better-absorbed sources of the botanical.

In another study, curcumin showed support for
    pancreatic cellular health and inflammation
markers. A review of this trial concluded that
    better-absorbed curcumin formulations may have
    an application here.
Liver Support & Detoxification: Research has shown that concentrated curcumin
can protect the mitochondrial surface within the
cells, and promote the body’s own ability to
    support healthy cellular division. While
combining curcumin with piperine can help
increase absorption, it can also interact with
cytochrome P450 in the liver and interacts with
most prescription medications. This is why finding
a curcumin extract like BCM-95, which does not
use piperine to increase absorption, is important.
Mood Support: There has been increasing interest in applying
    curcumin to mental well-being.Curcumin
may modulate serotonin and dopamine release,
support healthy stress response, and support
healthy neurogenesis. One of the challenges
of curcumin for supporting healthy mood and well-
being has been its absorption rate. BCM-95 may
    be able to change that.
Healthy Aging/Longevity: Curcumin is a potent and powerful antioxidant and
can reduce the free-radical damage that affects
every system in the body, including the
cardiovascular system and the skin. It also
appears to support healthy DNA replication, neural
cell health, protect against oxidative stress, and
    promote healthy aging overall.

    Liver Support & Detoxification:

Curcumin appears to support healthy liver cell development. Research has shown that concentrated curcumin can protect the mitochondrial surface within the cells, and promote the body’s own ability to support healthy cellular division.* 13-15 While combining curcumin with piperine can help increase absorption, it can also interact with cytochrome P450 in the liver and interacts with most prescription medications. That’s why it’s important to find a curcumin exactly like BCM-95, which does not use piperine to increase absorption.

    Conclusion:

CuraPro uses the clinically studied, most bioavailable curcumin available – BCM-95 – to promote a
healthy inflammation response, support healthy mood, and maintain cellular and liver health. This
powerful, professional formula utilizes the best form of curcumin and combines it with cutting-edge
science to help you provide results for your patients.
